Fort Wayne is a city in the U.S. state of Indiana and the seat of Allen County, United States. Located in northeastern Indiana, the city is 18 miles (29 km) west of the Ohio border and 50 miles (80 km) south of the Michigan border. With a population of , in the census, it is the second-most populous city in Indiana after Indianapolis, and the 75th-most populous city in the United.
The roads followed the rolling hills and ravines, there was a blend of forested areas and open space. Vistas were created using grottoes, gazeboes, bridges, and sunken gardens. Two lakes provided a contrast to the lush green landscape. In a gatehouse was built and in Fort Wayne architects Wing and Mahurin designed a solid stone chapel. Wing and Mahurin of Ft. Mahurin was a very successful local Architect who was a part of two very prolific architecture firms. Mahurin was born in Indiana in On October 2nd he married his wife Cora A. Diggins, and they had three children together. Marshall was active in the community within the Shriners organization.
Wing "was a prominent architect in Fort Wayne Indiana in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Knowledge of Wing’s early life is limited by the available information about it, newspapers tended to focus more on his business life rather than his personal.
